Frankie Moreno "Chamber Music" @ Winchester Cultural Center- Sept 10th
Frankie Moreno is not your ordinary Vegas lounge musician. Sure, he’s as handsome as a young Elvis Presley and can rock the house, but as classically trained violinist Lisa Viscuglia says, “His classical roots show up in the most devious places within his writing,” and he writes chamber music as well as pop.
Members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic recommended Frankie Moreno to—of all people—violinist Joshua Bell, who has been called, “the greatest American violinist active today”—the same Joshua Bell who debuted with the Philadelphia Symphony under Ricardo Muti at the age of 14. Bell improbably popped up at the Rush Lounge in the Golden Nugget, heard the Frankie Moreno Band, and promptly asked Moreno to appear on his new CD, where he and Frankie duetted on “Eleanor Rigby,” with Moreno singing and playing piano. Moreno is an extraordinary pianist, one of the abilities that drew members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic to want to perform with him.
Violinist Viscuglia says Moreno, “can create a niche in every genre of music and make it magical.”
A number of Moreno’s classical musician friends will appear with him in a concert titled, “Chamber Music”.
Moreno has appeared on the Winchester stage in the past, but this will be his first time with a chamber ensemble. He’ll lead the group through popular music and original compositions, but whether singing or playing or both, and no matter what the tune, he will make it magical.
7 p.m.; $10 in advance; $12 on concert day.

Saturday September 10, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Veuve Clicquot Rosé- My New Favorite
Veuve Clicquot Rosé is the end result of a desire to create a rosé champagne with a delightfully luscious, fruit-based charm. Jacques Péters, the cellarmaster, and his team wanted a champagne that would be accessible and naturally engaging while conserving Veuve Clicquot's essential values in terms of style.
Made using 50 to 60 different crus, the cuvee is based on Brut Yellow Label's traditional blend: 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier, and 28 to 33% Chardonnay.
The blend includes a particularly high percentage (25-35%, sometimes 40%) of reserve wines originating from several harvests (usually 5 or 6), which ensures the consistency of the house style. The reserve wines, some of which are 9 years old, are kept separately depending on the origin of the crus and the years in which the wines were produced. This blend is completed with 12% of red wines using red grapes especially raised and selected to give a marvellous balance to this rosé.

Jamie Jungers Busted For D.U.I In Las Vegas
TMZ reported former Las Vegas movie extra and former Tiger Woods mistress, Jamie Jungers was involved in a car accident Friday morning on the corner of Tropicana and Lindell. Cops arrested Jungers for driving on a suspended registration, having no proof of insurance, and driving under the influence.
She was taken into custody and has since posted bond.
Jamie Jungers was crowned Miss Mistress on the Howard Stern show.
Winning the $75,000 first prize , getting that crown and a bouquet of roses mounted on a golf club. And what will she do with the prize money? Jungers said she planned to use the $75K to move her family to Las Vegas.
When interviewed about her affair with Woods, Jamie claimed that Tiger is cheap.
She said she once asked Tiger for some money to pay her rent and he told her no way. "I felt trapped. I said can you please help me I said I don't know what else to do and I'm already embarrassed to ask you and he said I can't. I stopped being with him after that after 18 months," Jungers said. But that wasn't all. The man raking in millions from sponsorships never even bought her nice presents and when he flew her out to see him it was on Southwest, in coach. "He was cheap. He never tipped at restaurants. It embarrassed me," Jungers said.
Luis Miguel @ Caesars Palace- September 15-18
Mexican performer Luis Miguel is an international star who is loved for his well-produced albums and strong live performances. Since 1990, he has been one of the most popular performers in Latin America -- beloved enough to be referred to as "El sol de México" ("The sun of Mexico"). In the United States, he was the first Latino artist to have two Spanish-language albums, Romance and Segundo Romance, go platinum. The latter release won him one of his five Grammys; it also earned a total of 34 platinum records throughout South and Central America. Miguel's international stardom was heavily recognized in 2000, when he took home two awards -- for Male Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Album -- at the first annual Latin Grammy Awards. Another accolade came in 2003, when he was nominated in the Favorite Latin Artist category of the American Music Awards.
Other highlights throughout his discography include Amarte Es un Placer (1999), the tour for which broke his previous record for the highest-grossing Latino-artist tour; México en la Piel (2004), which sold three million copies worldwide; Complices (2008), an overdue collaboration with Manuel Alejandro; and a self-titled album (2010) that marked his 40th birthday.
